4J,
You will not have to attend school tomorrow - 12 of September 2008.
School will resume next Monday, 15 September 2008.
You have 2 pieces of Enlish Worksheet to complete.
Let's recap on the Science Lesson you had for today.
- What do you understand about heat?
- What instrument that was used to measure the amount of heat?
- Any other queries about heat that you would like to know? Post your questions here and I encourage pupils of 4J and 4C to answer to your friends queries.

1)Heat always travels from a hotter place to a cooler place.
Our main source of heat is the sun.
2)A Thermometer was used to measure the amount of heat.
3)Metal is a better conductor of heat then plastic.
i know we haven learn conductors of heat but i just put...
a)Heat is always travelling from hot to cold. If you heat up a candle, you will notice there is a liquid around the candle, this is because the solid, wax, has turned into a liquid kind of wax. When it dries up, it will harden and turn back to its original state, solid wax.
b)A Thermometer is used to measure heat.
heat is travel from a hotter place to a colder place thermometer is to measure the amount of heat when you light a candle the wax around the candle is turn to solid to liquid this is because when solid is being heated it will be turn to liquid when it dries it go back to its normal form again

Heat is useful(1 example:It helps us to dry our cloths.)
The termometer was used to measure the degree celius.

1- Sun is our main source of heat
Heat is always travelling from
hot to cold.
2-We use a Thermometer to measure
heat
Is heat always good for us all the time?
In what ways are they good and what are the ways they are bad for us?
Heat are not always good.
The bad thing is if you use it to lonh it may burnt. The good thing is heat can help u cook things.
1.Heat travels from hot to cold.
2.A thermometer is used to measure the heat.
No.If you use it for too long it may be burnt and its good because gives us warmth.

1)heat always travels hotter place to colder place.2)termomether.
I wonder why the thermometer we used in the lab the other day is not suitable for us take our temperature?
Any idea?
cuz our normal body temparature is about 37 degrees?
1) our main source of heat is the sun and heat travels from a hotter place to a colder place 2)we use a thermometer to measure heat
1)Heat is a form of energy.Heat also has a good and poor conductor of heat.examples of good conductors of heat are aluminuim and mercury.
examples of poor conductors of heat are air and wood.
2)We people are very smart and invent a device called a thermometer to use it to measure the temperature of something instead of predicting using the sense of touch.
3)Air is the worst conductor of heat among the poor conductors of heat.
I have nothing to say now but if i need help,i will ask you!!
